New Newspaper In Town

A cold, rainy day greets us at the city limits. [Photo By Joe Hermosillo]

BROWNSVILLE, Tx - After weeks and weeks of being asked to float this newspaper, we have decided that, yes, the time has come to go to the mat for a people long-oppressed by life itself. And so it is with the eternal hopes and dreams of an entire border community that we today launch this online newspaper.
.
We are particularly interested in the malleable culture of the Rio Grande Valley and shall strive to bring reports from the field and from the upper decks. Politics is a game we know. Corruption is a profession we've studied. Wife-beating will be something new. As for food, well, we're renowned fans of the illustrious Mexican taco. So buckle-up and grab a bag of popcorn for this long and winding road trip across a geography better suited for snakes, scorpions, buzzards and lizards.
.
May God save us all...

  1. Come on Alcaras, no one takes el rosinante serious. I am sure there are more interesting things going around in Brownsville, than some defunct blog. Give me a break

  2. Sir, you have no idea how significant and important El Rocinante is to Brownsville. It is at once its Great Wall of China and its Bunny Ranch Bordello. Mornings are scheduled around reading of its sentient postings and elections sway to and fro with every story it posts. To and fro, sir...
