AMERIQUE:

A NOTE FROM THE EDITOR: It is the unspoken statistic, but it is as real as anything to do with the lingering U.S. war efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan. According to the military, 1,800 American servicemen have killed themselves since the initial invasion of Baghdad. That is in addition to the more than 4,000 who died in battle. This week, families of the soldiers who committed suicide asked President Barack Obama to change the government policy of not forwarding letters of appreciation to mothers and fathers of these servicemen. By week's end, the White House had reversed the policy and agreed that such letters are needed, as well... - Eduardo Paz-Martinez, Editor of The Tribune

TRINITY OUT TO SAVE BROWNSVILLE...

By ANGELO MARGARITA

BROWNSVILLE, TX - Meeting late last night in uber-guarded secrecy, overseers of this Blog and two others crafted the beginnings of what may soon become the city's Information Holy Trinity - a development that threatens to turn the world of local politics from its current "cartel model" into a new "no-corruption-in-my-backyard" landscape.

"It'll come to pass after a few issues are ironed-out," said Blogger Juan Montoya of ElRrunRrun.com, the community's award-winning defender of all things social. "We are pretty much on the same page. Look for an announcement real soon."

The other website, ElRocinante.com, is all for the proposition. "We have the guns and our women have the roses," said its editor, Dr. G.F. McHale-Scully, as he and the others sat inside the Pancho Villa Banquet Room of the 1-2-3 Lounge. "Picture a truth-seeking posse hoofing it hard into town. Brownsville is going to be the middleweight boxer thinking he's in the ring with three guys, taking punches to the body from all sides."

"We're for the idea," said Patrick Alcatraz, editor of this website. "A three-pronged attack sounds ideal. Lord knows there are plenty of issues to cover in town. All that remains is some concrete agreement, and we're sure we'll agree to El Rocinante's suggestion that we sign the deal in Sicily. I like the imagery and significance of that, absolutely."

An announcement may come as early as later this week...

Do you really want to be in cahoots with El resinante??? El RrunRun is a little more sophisticated.
Now mr.editor, what kind of a deal could grown men carry out at the 1-2-3 bar and grill???
Be sincere, you all were looking for that unsavioury character DP-M.

Let me see, does the cowboy video goes with the pictures of the cowboys riding into town???
The video is pretty good, but I don't know about the picture.

Pancho, you should know that all of us at the meeting hold DP-M in high regard, so it would have been nice to see him there. And that is why when he garces us with his presence, well, we jump at the prospect of, ah, spilling the wine with him. Unsavory is not a word anyone we know would associate with DP-M...- Editor

Having read your article, El Rosinante, El Run run, and now your blog want to unite and address what?? Local Politics, abuse, wrong doing, and anything other thing of interest. I hope, I think Juan Montoya has gone missing in Mexico. His blog has had the same stories for over a week. He to, has an article on the lovely Tara Rios. Seriously I thought Brownsville was Sicily.

The elegiac Juan Montoya, a child of Jupiter's Upper Crust, is taking the day off. But, of course, you know a day on Jupiter is 30 days here on earth, so...- Editor
